Unit 8 Blog Post

Hello Everyone,

The two practices that I have chosen and that I have put into practice in my life is meditation and visualization.  I have practiced these two for many years off and on, it is not an easy task when you are going through some difficult times in your life because our mind tends to lean towards negativity, but that is the perfect time to practice and implement them.  As we all know the benefits of meditation are so many, to me personally one of the greatest benefits it has provided me is the ability to quiet my mind and recharge my mind and body with energy.  Through visualization I am able to transport my mind to a “happy place” to a moment where I felt at peace and felt joy; by being able to do so in the present it gives me a sense of wellness and hope and it is a reminder that by continuing to practice both of these my “mental fitness” will remain in good standing.

  1. I agree with all the points you made about meditation and its benefits. I have had to focus more and more the last couple of months to stay positive. I will definitely be continueing to explore all forms of meditation.
